Thalle La & Deosai Trek

The Deosai Plains & Thalle La are two popular trekking destinations in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, known for their stunning natural beauty and unique cultural heritage.

The Deosai Plains, are a high-altitude plateau located in the northern region of Pakistan. The plains are known for their vast expanse of alpine meadows, which are home to a variety of wildlife, including the Himalayan brown bear, ibex, and snow leopard. The Deosai Plains are also home to a number of high-altitude lakes, including the Sheosar Lake, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region.

The Thalle La trek is a challenging trek that starts in the village of Lamayuru in the Ladakh region of India, and takes you through a variety of terrains, including rocky terrain, alpine meadows, and high mountain passes. The trek culminates at the Thalle La Pass, which is located at an elevation of approximately 5,000 meters, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
